Located about half an hour away from the university -- probably one of the coolest things I've ever seen. It's a temple, called Wat Rong Khun, and it's a modern art/temple by this local artist.
it's so white and bright. there are little mirrors everywhere. 
on the walk over the bridge into the temple, there are all these hands reaching up.
inside the temple, at the back wall, there is a modern art drawing that shows the world in destruction. but, when you face forward, you see the Buddha and monks praying.
a fish pond under the bridge.
the no smoking sign. look at the hands holding onto the cigarettes.

those hands reaching up are creepy... they remind me of all the dead people in the water, i guess in lotr the marshes? it also happens in harry potter. and probably a bazillion other movies. the little mermaid? scary.
