Bingo

I spend the weekends in a hill tribe village, "helping to build toilets/a water supply" but mostly just slipping in knee deep dirt, getting my feet wrapped in vines and tripping, and realizing how bad I am at walking compared to little kids in flip flops.

Here's an interesting language story.

We have the game bingo at the village, the one where you pick numbers and put things onto a card. When you win, you say bingo.

All the kids think "bingo" means "win", so while we're playing dominoes, cards, or just horsing around, they'll say "I bingo!" or "you bingo?"

I started doing it too because I thought it was funny and they understand it. oops!
